I thought it would be amped to do a Post about these Hybrid Buses by Arriva Northwest. These buses are now, 10 Years old as of March 2023. They first entered service in mid 2013, operating the Cross River Route's from the 432/433, 407/437, 471/472 services between the Wirral & Liverpool. They where originally bought to replace the ADL Enviro 400 Buses that where having difficulties with there engines & emissions.
Nowadays you can find these buses operating various routes through out the week including, 410/411/413 and others. I have to say, not everyone where a big fan of these buses, however I do quite enjoy them and I think they suit there new Hybrid Livery. I regularly use these buses to & from the City Centre & I quite enjoy riding on them.
I hope to be documenting these buses in the future, as more likely they will be taken under the new Merseytravel Branding with the new Metro livery. I also plan to be doing a writeup about those new Hydrogen Buses to be operated in Liverpool on the 10/10A by Stagecoach/Arriva. But for now, I want to celebrate these buses, as they have become an integral part of Merseyside & also taking people too and from Work in the City Centre under the River Mersey.
