All New Merseytravel Metro Bus Service!

After a break from writing about the UK's Bus Scene I have returned with a brand new blog post all about Mersey Travel's new venture taking over the local bus network under the name Metro. Today was a chance to see what the new bus & livery would be like, however sadly when had arrived at the demonstration bus there weren't anybody there to talk about the new Bus it's self and what it entails .

I have to say, that the new livery looked rather striking on the Alexander Dennis Enviro 400 MMC Built in Japan by BYD I believe. I may be mistaken. The idea behind this bus blog is to simply Document the ever changing bus scene, especially with the recent adition of a £2 Bus fair across the whole of Merseyside & of course in Manchester means that we now have more affordable bus fair across the whole of the Northwest.

As you can see the brand new livery showing off the grey, yellow & black of the new Mersey Rail trains which are due to be in service later this autumn. It is rather exciting being able to document the ever changing bus network here in Merseyside, especially with these new ADL Enviro 400's & this new Network operating by Mersey Travel. Merseyside once had a Public Bus Network under the name of the MPTE however sadly that didn't last very long and was soon privatised.

With this brand new bus, they are all going to be ECO Friendly, this will mean that bus travel will not halm the enviroment like with petro or desiel counter parts. The future of bus travel in Merseyside is set to change dramatically over the next few years with this being the first phase coming into service later this year. I am going to aim to document this big change over the next few months as these new ADL Enviro 400 Buses enter service on the streets of Liverpool. I do hope that you will enjoy reading this Blog and pleasedo leave a Comment!
