A Day Out in Liverpool

Hello, Joel here I wanted to update you all on this blog site. I have decided that I am going to keep the page going however, posts won’t be as regularly as I would like to do them, this is partly down to running my YouTube channel as well as also just having a life outside of the hobby too. How ever I am planning to do at least one or two blog post per month, I hope that you wont mind

Today I managed to grab a few different photos around Liverpool City Centre. I had such a lovely time photographing buses near Lime Street as you can see it’s something I do really enjoy doing. The first bus you can see here is DG71 VGD 4714, seen here near Liverpool Lime Street Station. I remember reviewing  these buses back in 2022 this time last year. They’re really nice and I believe they also have on board announcements and USB Points as well.

Here we have SN16 ONA 10536, seen here heading towards Liverpool One Bus Station having operated the 86 service. I do actually quite like these buses, the Enviro 400 MMCs, however I find that the Enviro 400 MMC City bodes do actually look a lot better. However having ridden on these buses, I do actually enjoy being on them.

I am considering doing a new Blog post series where I go and visit different bus stations and take photos of all the different buses around the local bus stations, for example I am planning to revisit Warrington and maybe even go to Wrexham Bus Station as well. I have loads of ideas for this blog and also plans to maybe even go further like down to London again. In fact, I am actually going to London on the 15 February to head to Paris. Which I am really excited for.

He we have one of many Wright Puslar 2 buses seen here heading to Liverpool One Bus Station having just come from Warrington on the 7. I have actually done this bus route once before, a while ago and I may consider doing it again. If people would be interested in me doing a Journey Review Blog, so essentially ride the entire route of a Bus Journey from start to Finnish and then write up my review here on my blog.

Above you can find some of our bog standard double deckers, a standard Gemini 2, as well as an ADL Enviro 400 seen here leaving the St John’s Shopping Centre. I do quite like the old classic Enviro 400 buses, especially the Enviro 200 models from 2008 onwards. I would also like to know if any of my readers here have a favourite bus, you can leave a comment bellow. The Wright Gemini 2 here is a LowRoof version unlike the standard ones you might find in London, this is due to there being quite a few low bridges on certain routes, with railways going over roads, or roads going over roads if that makes sense.

Another standard here in Liverpool Are these Wright Gemini 3’s with Volvo B5TL Hybrid chassis again seen leaving Liverpool St John’s Shopping Centre, unfortunately I can’t remember what route it was on however I think it was an 82. I used to take the buses from here to College however a lot of the buses back then were Volvo ALX400 Buses from Alexander Dennis, originally purchased between 2005 and 2006.

Anyway once again, thank you for reading, I really hope that you will enjoy what is to come here on this blog. I am planning to start using my LUMIX G6 Camera to start taking photos with rather than using my iPhone, partly due to battery and also I tend to use that for my videos over on my YouTube channel. Do let me know in the comments what your favourite bus is as I would love to know.
