Hello all, today's post is all about the time I spent photographing buses coming in & out of Birkenhead Bus Station, Sadly it's all Arriva & Stagecoach, we no longer have any Independent Operators running bus services around the Wirral. Anyway, to start of this post, here's an Alexander Dennis ADL Enviro 200 from 2007, registered LJ07 EEB and its fleet number is 2164. The aim of this series is to show you in detail what kind of buses we get around Merseyside.
Along with a lot of Wright Puslar 2's, We also have Wright Gemini 2 Hybrid Buses which are currently undergoing a Refurbishment Program with new Seat Covers, New Exterior Paint Work & Rebranding of the Crossriver service's. Here we have Wright Gemini 2 Hybrid MX13 ABU It's fleet number is 4527. You can see it leaving Birkenhead on a Service to Liverpool 437.

Moving away from Arriva and onto Stagecoach MCSL (Merseyside Cheshire & South Lancashire), Next up where going to take a look at one of Stagecoach's hand offs from Oxford. These buses I assume came to replace a number of older Double Deckers I believe when they took over First about 10 years ago, however I might be wrong, I haven't actually ridden these buses so am not too sure what they are like. I am planning to do a Mini Review on these buses sometime in the next few weeks, so do keep eye out for that.

Next up, let's take a look at some of the Stagecoach Gold Buses that are being used for the 41/42 Service's at this moment in time because of the Covid 19 Pandemic to allow more room for Passengers to spread out. Usually you find Enviro 200/300's Operating on this service, the same goes for the 38 As well.

Now we've delved into what Stagecoach have to offer, I think will have one final look at some of the Single Decker's operating with Stagecoach of course & with Arriva, From my experience, Stagecoach have always gone with British Built Alexander Dennis (ADL) Buses from Scotland, Namely the Enviro 400 as stated previously, or for there single decker variants, the Enviro 200/300 Here's an Enviro 300 shown in the new Stagecoach Livery, registered SN63 MZO 27897 and seen here leaving Birkenhead Bus Station

Finally lets look at some Arriva examples of full size single decker buses, They tend to go for the Wright Puslar / Puslar 2 or Cadet's (Commanders) from Wright Bus in Northern Ireland. Personally I prefer the ADL Enviro Models from Stagecoach but that's just my personal preference. Everyone has there favourite bus and as I mentioned at the beginning, the Enviro 200 (Midi) from 2007/08 was and still is my favourite bus from Alexander Dennis. Any how here we have a Wright Cadet in the new Arriva Livery & a Puslar 2/Puslar, An on arable Mention would also be to the Wright Streetlite's!
